Got through the holidays ok, but my dad pissed me off. My son who is 9, was riding in his great grandmothers wheelchair, which I told them to not let him do, and ran into some bench outside her apartment. Apparently he cracked the leg or something, so my grandmother decided to jump up and tell everyone it was her great grandson. Fine, I know he broke it and needs to be responsible for it, but my dad completely blew it out of proportion. He calls me to say he wants to mess with my son and tell him the cops want to talk to him about it. I basically said to let it go his is 9 and I will talk to him and handle it. Besides he doesn;t have a license and shouldn't have been driving to begin with. To make matters worse, my son was at my parents a day or so after and my dad starting bullying him about it, instead of just talking to him and letting him know what he did was wrong. Needless to say my son was crying and upset. I had to call and talk to him to calm him down. It's over now and I am over it, but I just needed to vent. Sorry to have bored you with it. :)

As I have been babbling about for the last few entries, I have found new life in my strip. Although not many are reading it, I am back to enjoying just doing it. (Which is what it should be about anyway) It's a rough buisness to be in and most people don't make it. It should be about your love for the characters and doing the work and that's what I found again.

Last Stop webstrip

Most of you don't know (probably none of you), but I have been fighting a battle with our dogs since my new wife's dog moved in. They have been tearing up the fence and digging for the last couple of weeks. While trying to figure out a solution, they have had to stay tied up. Well, I am happy to say, that I unchained them on Thursday and have had no problems as of yet. (crossing my fingers...)

This weekend Kraft Foods (my father works there) re-opened their Garland, Tx plant to the public. When I was a kid they used to have periodic tours through the plant to see how all the Kraft goodness was made. They stopped it when I was around 13. Well, this weekend, after 19 years, they opened it back up to employees and their families. Not only was I able to take my wife and son through the plant, but we got to get inside the Oscar Myer weinermobile. It is the coolest most useless vehicle ever created. :) They had food catered in, a car show, games, Mr. Peanut (Planters Peanuts) walking around, & Kool-Aid Man walking around. It was a good time.

Well, gotta get back to work, I am starting Novembers strips (I'm ahead, YEAH!).

I just finished drawing next Friday's strip and I am very happy. This adaptation is coming out very good. (at least I think so) I am really enjoying working on it.

I just finished writing strips for the entire month of November. I am trying something new and having one continous storyling for the entire month. I am looking forward to doing it and hope everyon enjoys it.

On to life news.....this is the first weekend that I have nothing going on except for my son's football game (7-0, YEAH!!!), so I am planning on getting some work around the house done...or watch tv which ever comes first.

Next weekend is the Dallas Comic Con. I have come to terms with not being able to get my table and just going as a fan and plan on having a great time.

Well, most of you don't know anything about me or my kids comic, but I have one. It's 2 issues and called The Keepers of Dawn. This was the project that I started with, if you call it that. It was meant to be a 4 issue series but I only finished 2 issues. I tried starting issue 3 the other day, but I'm just not feeling it. I am so deeply invloved with Last Stop now and love it, that, at the risk of sounding stuck up, I have moved beyond it. I'm not leaving everyone completely hanging, those 2 issues finish up part of the story.

I will continue to print those two issues and promote them, but my primary focus will now be the strip and another project I am trying to put together. If I get people that want the story finished or the mood hits, then I will go back and finish it.

If anyone is interested in seeing the book I have them on my site for sale pretty cheap.

Now that I am done venting, I am going back to working on Last Stop.

I have been somewhat stressed lately about my strip. I don't think I have much traffic and need to get the word out somehow. When doing so much work on something, it becomes frustrating when noone else notices.

After talking to some friends that do the same stuff, it's nice to know they have or have had the same feelings. I will say that after the last couple of story arcs I've done, I somehow have a new spark and hope to make some of my best strips to date.

I am about to hit my 6 month mark, which makes me proud I lasted this long, but hopefully others will notice. I'm not looking for fame just fans.

Well, I missed my chance to get a table at Dallas Comic Con. They are already sold out. I will still be going as a fan, just not as a dealer. There is a small chance there could be a cancelation and I will still get in, but I am not holding my breath.

My biggest disappiontment is that I need to promote my strip and start trying to sell my waffles. (I do a kids comic too and have stuffed versions of a waffle charcter from it on my web site)

Well, I planned on trying to get some art stuff done to update the site, but I am really tired.

I was at a belt test this morning, I teach Tae Kwon Do, and took a fingernail to the face, had to go to my sons football game, and spent 3 1/2 hours working on my fence where the dogs tore it up. (stupid dogs)

Don't worry though, I will still be posting new strips every Tuesday & Friday.

A friend of mine did a short film called Last Stop, prior to my web strip debuting. I was in this film, but at the time did not know it was called Last Stop and he did not know I was working on a web strip called Last Stop. I know it's an amazing story. Long story short (too late), I am adapthing his short film in my web strip for Halloween.

The story begins on Tuesday (10/17/06), so check it out.
